Volunteer

Serving the Lord through volunteering is one of the most fulfilling ways to put faith into action. It is an opportunity to be the “hands and feet” of Jesus within our community and congregation.

A Call to Serve

The Bible reminds us that every act of service, no matter how small, is a powerful expression of love. In 1 Peter 4:10, we are encouraged to use our unique gifts: “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” When we volunteer, we aren’t just filling a slot on a schedule; we are managing the talents God specifically entrusted to us to build up His kingdom.

Modeling the Heart of Christ

Volunteering is also an act of worship that follows the example set by Christ himself. As noted in Matthew 20:28, “the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve.” By giving our time to the church, we shift our focus from ourselves to the needs of others, echoing the exhortation in Galatians 5:13 to “serve one another humbly in love.” Whether you are greeting visitors, teaching children, or helping behind the scenes, your labor is never in vain. As Hebrews 6:10 assures us, God will not forget the work and love you show Him as you help His people.
